Tyvek® garments are made from flash-spun high-density polyethylene, which offers an ideal balance of protection and comfort. These coveralls are permeable to both air and water vapour, ensuring breathability, yet they repel water-based liquids and aerosols, providing high liquid and particulate protection. The material also offers an excellent barrier against fine particles and fibres, down to 1 micron in size, and is ultra-low-linting with antistatic treatment on both sides, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Importantly, the coveralls contain no added silicone, ensuring compatibility with sensitive processes.

Applications for the Tyvek® 500 Xpert include pharmaceutical handling, chemical processing, oil and gas industry tasks, general maintenance and operations, automatic spray painting, and many other industrial activities.

These coveralls are certified according to Regulation (EU) 2016/425 as chemical protective clothing, Category III, Type 5-B and 6-B. They also comply with EN 14126 for barriers to infective agents and EN 1073-2 for protection against radioactive contamination. The coveralls feature stitched external seams, very low inward leakage thanks to an optimized design, and are suitable for use in GMP Class C/D (ISO Class 6-9) cleanrooms.
